Shook Me All Night Long: The Power of Seeing AC/DC in the Flesh

These spunky rock legends need no introduction: AC/DC. Formed in 1973, these elderly musicians are still going in 2025, and guess what? They still rock! We all have to admit that 53 years is an impressive career considering how unforgiving the music industry can be.

There’s nothing quite like some good old-fashioned classic rock to soothe the soul and to lose your whole mind to. Angus Young’s infectious guitar solos coupled with Brian Johnson’s powerful and unique vocals make for an incredible show (even if Young’s solo was just a little too long…).

AC/DC was by far the loudest concert I have ever been to. If you look closely enough in my photos, you can see a fat load of Marshall stacks behind the band, so bring earplugs if you see them live! Despite the high decibels, I had the greatest time dancing and singing with my dad 🙂

Lost in a sea of glowing devil horns and hearing each guitar stroke, my dad and I looked at each other knowingly with a smile as each of AC/DC’s classics began. AC/DC’s fans are high-energy and electric, dancing, singing, and cheering the whole show (even though most are now elderly).

Sometimes, going to concerts or even simply new places is about the people you meet along the way. Prior to the concert, my dad and I couldn’t find a table for dinner and ended up sharing a table with a father and son-in-law. We ended up having great conversation with them as we bonded over some other artists we’ve seen and artists we hope to see.

During the show, we met an older man sitting next to us who said he drove down to Massachusetts from Maine for the show. I must say, he was an absolute joy to sit next to as he danced and sang with me the entire time

I was happy to catch this photo of a fan throwing their hands in the air as fireworks went off while AC/DC finished their set, because that’s what it feels like to see AC/DC live.

As always,

Stay fabulous.
